Colleen has a diverse leadership background.  Employed by Banner Health for 20+ Colleen served in various leadership positions and led major initiatives including cultural transformation, shared leadership implementation, electronic medical record implementation, and clinical process.

Colleen recently retired from Banner University Medical Center Phoenix where she served as the Chief Nursing Officer; accomplishments included overseeing a Nursing Extern Program and creating a robust graduate nurse hiring program to combat a local and national nursing shortage. Prior to this, Colleen held the roles of Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.

Colleen has a reputation as a transformational leader, influential speaker, and mentor of aspiring leaders. Colleen is a Fellow with the American Nurse’s Advocacy Institute, and serves on the Boards of Arizona Nurses Association Political Action Committee and Nourish PHX, a Phoenix Food and Clothing Bank. Her special interest in retirement is tutoring Reading and Writing to 4th graders in a Title 1 Elementary School.
